Very friendly and within walking distance from shopping and Metro
Requested for double room but was given a single bed room.
The morning receptionist was especially helpful and friendly.
Room small for twin beds.
Really nice room for the price. Nice bathroom clean and fresh. Comfy bed and we had a nice view of the street outside. Maybe a little bit noisy for the ones looking for a really quit hotel but if you like the french atmosphere it is no problem we had no problem falling asleep
The AC didnt work... Didnt really mind just turned off the radiator but I have noticed I am not the first one to notice this. So if you go in the summertime be sure it works! Ask them!
We were afraid that the hotel would be too close to Pigalle. However the area was really quite and safe. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel has really pleasantly and strongly exceeded our expectations.
This hotel was great, and better than we expected, as we knew Paris was notorious for expensive accommodation and of not of a particularly high quality. So we were delighted with the accommodation. The room was spacious, very clean and the shower was great!! Hotel reception very friendly (and spoke English...although we did try a little French). Checkout time was 12pm which was great, and they were happy to hold our bags untill later in the day as our flight was at night. All in all it was great and as we booked last minute the price was great too! About a 15-20 minute walk to Gare Du Nord station, and metro station 2mins down the road. Moulin Rouge just up the road too.
The staff was excellent at dealing with a reservation problem. We really appreciated their efforts and kindness.
We booked a double room and when we arrived they only had twin rooms available. The staff refused to apologise for this and seemed rather unconcerned - saying it was a fault of the system. After nearly an hour of argument they found us another room.
Metro station was very close to the hotel. Hotel was quiet and staff very friendly. Room small but cozy. Very close to Moulin Rouge. Safe neighborhood.
The staff were very nice! They took the time to inform/advise us on the transportation strike effecting the City. Felt like we were in more of a neighborhood . Kids were playing outside w/ normal people walking around. I have stayed in another hotel in Paris, paid more $ & it was a total dive!! This hotel had some very nice things ex: the bathroom, tv and bed linens, which is huge for Paris. Had shampoo/wash and wrapped soap and wrpd cups in the bathroom. The rooms were not nearly as nice as the lobby but it was by far much nicer than where I have stayed in or had friends stay in Paris. Unless you pay and arm and a leg, you don't get a great hotel and this hotel isn't and arm and a leg, is clean, worth the price and in a good location.
In room security box was questionable. Worried if it was going to open back up when I needed to retrieve my things. Hotel room smelled like bug spray but on the other hand, I would rather have a hotel that sprays for bugs than one that doesn'T. At least you know they care enough to kill the bugs.
Very small room. Can hear every neighbour sound.
My friends recommended the hotel. It was the rigt choise. The friendliness off the staff was excellent. The cleanliness of the room was very good. When we travel to Paris again, we will stay at George Opera.
The location of the hotel is great. The metro station "SAINT GEORGE" is only down the street, there were some cute cafe's in the area. On our first day we wandered down the street and made our way to L'Opera and Madeline on foot - The hotel is great location. The staff were most helpful. We arrived early (around 10.30am) on the 1 st day and they had a room ready for us. The room was very clean, the view was brilliant and it was perfect for our 2 night stay in Paris City.
This is not a complaint but it was inconvient. The hotel authrozies all bookings. A few days prior to our trip one nights accommdation cost was debited from my account. I was not expecting this as normally with Booked.net the payment is made at check-out. This did not bother me though, however at our check-out time the receptionist advised that full payment was still required. I asked for the manager and everything was sorted out in wuite quickly and efficently. The manager had very good english and was very nice to deal with. But just an FYI that it is normal for this hotel to "authroize" you card before you arrive for your stay.
Location and the friendliness of the hotel staffs
Some furnitures are quite old, but probably that is why the price is kind of low:-)
I traveled with my girl friend and my 10 month old baby with at least 10 pieces of luggage. The front desk offered us cheerful smiles every day, found me a paper box for me to send a package, offered me hot water to make baby food, called a nice cab to drive us to the station, and most importantly, they treated you like friends!! I highly recommend family with baby to stay in this hotel. On top of that, the location is perfect for shopping, and the restaurants near by the hotel also offer good food with good service with good price. You can also get fresh fruit and good bread at close by bakery. The bed is so cozy that we do not have any difficulty falling asleep after a long flight journey with the baby. We will stay there next time when visiting paris!
The location is perfect, 2 minutes to st georges statıon and 7-8 minutes to pigalle station. The breakfast was very good. The size of the room is enough for couple of days. Free minibar is a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay.
